IMI performed mechanical piping and equipment installation at the University of Chicago campus utility plant. The project included installation of (2) new 225,000 PPH boilers and chillers capable of providing 12,500 tons of cooling capacity.

In addition, IMI provided Mechanical Consultant Services to the client. Services included directing the MEPFP coordination process, and overall scheduling, coordination and quality assurance for all mechanical work, as well as, installation of heating and cooling equipment within an architecturally significant building envelope.
Independent was a member of the Design Assist and Project Management team during all phases of the project, from pre-construction services through final commissioning. Independent Mechanical utilized 3D AutoCAD design to complete 70% of the pipe fabrication.
